“Wonderful Hotel. Perhaps a little out of the way for those unfamiliar with Paris but the fantastic staff make it worth while to explore and let them be your unerring guide. Located at the junction of bus, tram and metro routes, so easy to get anywhere in Paris. I am a frequent traveler to Paris and this hotel and staff have always exceeded my needs. Nice bistros, parks, and public walkways within steps of this hotel.”

“I absolutely adored my stay at Hotel De La Porte Doree. Loved the tiny elevator after a long day on my feet. Healthy snacks for the taking and coffee available, both in the lobby. The staff was wonderful and helpful and I included breakfast in my stay. Having an early morning tour they had croissant, etc arrive early for me! Can't have that attention just anywhere! As a solo traveler and a first timer visiting family this delightful boutique hotel felt like home for 9 days. Great recommendations to restaurants and public transport just steps away. Quiet and perfect. Make sure to visit the Palais de la Porte Doree (Museum of Immigration/ Aquarium) and the fabulous Bois de Vincennes just walking minutes away. Nice to be treated with a Bonjour with my name throughout my visit! Merci, and hope to visit again.”

“Stayed at this hotel at my first time in Paris! It was absolutely beautiful. So cozy and sweet. The staff was so kind and also spoke English with ease which made it very easy for us as English speakers. When we arrived our room wasn’t ready yet but we were so tired from travelling they offered us another room so we could check in asap. We really appreciated that. The rooms were so precious and I really liked how it was a smaller hotel (I believe around 40ish rooms). One thing I will say is the elevator is beyond tiny but I think that’s a France thing as a whole. All in all I don’t have any negative remarks. The train runs under the hotel but I had no issue getting to sleep. I would definitely return. Just posting this has me really wanting to return to lovely Paris!!”
